WhatsApp Introduces New Features – World tech Giants, Whatsapp is currently working on some new feature which could make our chatting experience a different look. This feature will enable us to send self-destructive photos, videos and even GIFs. Presently, we can choose when we want to delete a certain media content manually, But now Whatsapp is working on what they call EXPIRY MEDIA. Those who are familiar with Snapchat would have known what expiry media is. Well for those who don’t. Expiry media unsends/deletes when the viewer must have finished viewing the media sent and decides to exit that chat. This does not stop you from deleting messages manually. It helps in keeping your photos, videos and all other transferable media private. This is because deleting them sometimes doesn’t necessarily mean that they have been trashed totally on WhatsApp.
WhatsApp Introduces New Features; How Will The New Feature Work?
As earlier said, this feature will delete itself when the recipient has opened the expiry media message sent and exits the chat. All you have to do to activate this feature is by tapping on the new button which would be made available close to the message box and the image or media which you sent, will disappear immediately. The receiver/recipient receives a warning immediately they leave the chat. This cool feature is available to both android and most Apple devices. The problem which this new feature maybe be facing is that most iPhones have the SAVE TO CAMERA ROLL settings, and this is the Apple privacy settings. And if this setting is on, the media sent on Whatsapp is automatically downloaded to the receiver’s phone. And making it impossible for Whatsapp to delete
WhatsApp is already working on a similar self-destruction feature for Whatsapp messages too. Sounds cool right???
